السيد رئيس الجمهورية،
أكتب إليكم اليوم لا بصفتي سياسيًا، ولا معارضًا، ولا مؤيدًا، وإنما بصفتي مواطنًا مصريًا بسيطًا، يحمل هم هذا الوطن، ويشعر بحالة من الحيرة والقلق لم يعشها من قبل.
لقد أصبح المواطن المصري لا يعرف من يقف معه ومن يقف ضده، ولا من يتحمل مسؤولية ما وصلنا إليه من أعباء اقتصادية وضغوط معيشية غير مسبوقة. المواطن يعمل ويجتهد ويصبر، لكنه يتساءل كل يوم: إلى متى يستمر هذا الصبر؟ وإلى متى يتحمل الشعب وحده فاتورة الأخطاء والقرارات غير الموفقة؟
سيادة الرئيس،
لقد تحمل الشعب المصري الكثير، وتحمل الغلاء، وارتفاع الأسعار، وتراجع القدرة الشرائية، على أمل أن يرى انفراجة حقيقية، وأن يشعر بأن تضحياته تقابلها محاسبة عادلة لكل مسؤول أخطأ أو قصر أو فشل في أداء واجبه.
إن قوة الدول لا تُقاس فقط بالمشروعات والإنجازات، وإنما أيضًا بقدرتها على تجديد دمائها السياسية، وتفعيل مبادئ المحاسبة والشفافية، وإتاحة الفرصة لتداول المسؤولية والسلطة وفقًا للدستور والقانون، بما يعزز الثقة بين المواطن ومؤسسات الدولة.
إن مصر اليوم، في نظر كثير من أبنائها، في أمس الحاجة إلى مراجعة شاملة، وإلى فتح المجال أمام رؤى وأفكار جديدة، وإلى التأكيد على أن المسؤولية العامة ليست امتيازًا دائمًا، بل تكليف يخضع للتقييم والمساءلة.
سيادة الرئيس،
إن الشعب المصري شعب عظيم وصبور، لكنه يتطلع إلى مستقبل يشعر فيه بأن صوته مسموع، وأن معاناته مقدرة، وأن هناك أفقًا للإصلاح والمشاركة والمحاسبة. فاستقرار الأوطان لا يقوم فقط على تحمل المواطنين، بل أيضًا على تجديد الثقة بينهم وبين مؤسساتهم.
هذه ليست رسالة غضب، بل رسالة مواطن يخشى على وطنه، ويرجو أن يرى مصر أقوى، وأكثر عدلًا، وأكثر قدرة على تحقيق آمال أبنائها.
حفظ الله مصر، وحفظ شعبها، ووفق كل من يعمل بإخلاص من أجل رفعتها.

A letter to Mr. President of the Republic from an Egyptian citizen who does not know who is with him and who is against him. Mr. President of the Republic, I am writing to you today not as a politician, nor an opponent, nor a supporter, but as a simple Egyptian citizen, carrying the concerns of this country, and feeling a state of confusion and anxiety that he has never experienced before. The Egyptian citizen no longer knows who stands with him and who stands against him, nor who bears responsibility for the unprecedented economic burdens and living pressures we have reached. The citizen works hard and is patient, but he wonders every day: How long will this patience last? And for how long will the people alone bear the bill for mistakes and unsuccessful decisions? Mr. President, the Egyptian people have endured a lot, the high prices, the rise in prices, and the decline in purchasing power, in the hope that they will see a real breakthrough, and that they will feel that their sacrifices are met with fair accountability for every official who made a mistake, fell short, or failed in performing his duty. The power of states is not only measured by projects and achievements, but also by their ability to renew their political blood, activate the principles of accountability and transparency, and provide the opportunity to rotate responsibility and power in accordance with the constitution and the law, in a way that enhances trust between the citizen and state institutions. Egypt today, in the eyes of many of its people, is in dire need of a comprehensive review, to open the way for new visions and ideas, and to emphasize that public responsibility is not a permanent privilege, but rather an obligation that is subject to evaluation and accountability. Mr. President, the Egyptian people are a great and patient people, but they look forward to a future in which they feel that their voice is heard, that their suffering is appreciated, and that there is a horizon for reform, participation, and accountability. The stability of nations is not only based on citizens’ tolerance, but also on renewing trust between them and their institutions. This is not a message of anger, but rather a message from a citizen who fears for his homeland and hopes to see Egypt stronger, more just, and more capable of fulfilling the hopes of its people.
